STREAM - a working name and a glimpse of the digitalization process.

After a period of less activity than usual in my analog photography, I am moving forward again. In northern Sweden, many major rivers are dammed. My latest project focuses on this topic with images from Sweden's most productive (2256 GWh/year) hydropower plant, Stornorrfors, on the Ume River.

My dear friend Mark Gibbs, a very talented artist based in Cumbria, suggested that we try to do a joint post on Facebook. We have now decided what we want to post later this weekend. The idea is to show two of our images next to each other and then write a short personal reflection on the other person's feed. Will this engage and start discussions or other interactions? I admit I'm a bit nervous. The plan is to do this on Sunday evening.

A few days ago, I returned to a long-running project I am working on. The name of the project has changed several times during the period I have been working on it, so I am not writing anything today. Anyway, as mentioned above, the result was four exposures during that evening.

The pictures are from this summer. I originally wrote this text some time ago, but a move from our old apartment to a house here in Umeå got in the way. So. I just want to announce that I am back today. I'm also back today after a rather disappointing day out. I had the concept ready, the ideas ready and the equipment fully set up for a day out in freshly fallen snow. The result was not a single exposed image with my Linhof. But what the heck, that's how it is sometimes. Don't give up Andreas.
