Hello there, dear visitors! If you subscribe to my newsletter, you have probably already read about some of the things I write about in this blog post. On the other hand, if you haven't read my newsletter, I hope you will find this post informative.

March is here with even more snow. The nights are cold if it's clear, and the sun starts to feel warm on your skin on calm sunny days. We are moving from real winter to spring, and this time of year is called spring winter. It's a beautiful time, with life slowly returning to nature. Soon we will start to hear whooper swans returning from their winter quarters.

Now to things that have happened since my last post. I have published my project PAVANE here with a mix of some years old and some brand new images. The images in this series are very personal, and I hope they can also mean something to others. I explore the relationship between a thermal blanket and the surrounding nature. So far I have been working with analog black and white films that have been partially colored digitally. I have recently decided to continue working on this theme. Stay tuned!

Another thing that has caught my interest lately is the different ways to digitally display artwork. I plan to expand my website with an online shop in the future, and when I do, I realize that it would be nice to display my work in natural settings. I have made an example to show how it might look when mounted, framed and on a wall. It is a mockup of a generic home environment.

Another exciting thing to share with you is that I am now a member of KKV Härnösand. KKV (Konstnärernas kollektivverkstad) is a national organization with independent workshops in different cities around Sweden. KKV in Härnösand is well-equipped with possibilities to work in an analog darkroom, make large digital prints and also polymer photogravure with traditional etching techniques in the art printing workshop. Its members run it, and after being accepted as one of the artists, one gets access to a whole new world of possibilities. Another nice thing after becoming a member is the access to all other KKVs in Sweden.

Finally, I will address the exciting opportunities that lie ahead. I have booked a course in polymer photogravure printing after the upcoming Easter holidays. I'm very excited about the chance to learn this technique and will of course report back with my impressions and hopefully some examples of what has come out of it.
