HÄR / HERE

Sometimes I've stopped by some of all these colored marking tapes in the forest land. What do they show? Sometimes it is which trees should be saved in an upcoming felling or thinning. Or maybe they mark trees to be cut down. Perhaps they delimit an area to be protected or they show the route of a planned forest road. Sometimes you see old remnants of plastic markings that remain.

I have an ambivalent relationship with these colorful markings. Will the forest still be there on the next visit? A strong feeling of being HÄR in the landscape arises.

In my pictures, I use the same type of marking tape that is common in forestry. I try to recreate the feeling of traveling through the forest landscape and encountering these markings.
